Melbourne Women’s Choir
Saturday 22 September at 7:30 pm

“I have not an idea of anything so voluptuous and affecting as this music; the richness of the art, the exquisite taste of the vocal part, the excellence of the voices” – Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 1770. Such beautiful music of orphan virtuosi of Venice, including extended works by Vivaldi, Hasse and Ristori will delight; and the lively acoustic of Xavier Chapel will also resound with Ave verum and Laudate Dominum of Mozart.

Arias and choruses are almost operatic in style. The role of Solomon will be performed by Cantor Michel Laloum and other roles will be sung by members of the choir, demonstrating the high standard of MCC singers.
